Fun Palaces workshops bring our ethos of community-led culture to your team, venue or network. Whether you want to make a Fun Palace, co-create with your local community or find new ways of working, we’ll build a session around you – led by the Fun Palaces team and Fun Palaces Makers who’ve done it themselves.

Our flagship workshop
Fun Palaces, Cultural Democracy and How to Hand Over
For anyone who wants to make a Fun Palace, find new ways to co-create with local communities, or embed cultural democracy into the work of their organisation.
Community engagement matters to so many venues and organisations. Fun Palaces have always encouraged venues to hand over to their communities, rather than create for them. Join members of the Fun Palaces team and Fun Palaces Makers to explore how to do it well – or to consolidate and support what you’re already doing.

The power of protest
Creative Riots
How can creativity and protest change the world, from the grassroots up? Join our Creative Riots campaign and explore ways to hand over to your local community and support people to have a creative voice – and influence over policy, locally and nationally.
In response to the cost of living crisis, climate change and more, Creative Riots invites everyone to dream up creative ways to challenge the issues we face.

A practical planning session for a Fun Palace you want to run. We’ll help your team or community get from idea to action: finding your people, sharing skills, building local partnerships and making a plan that works for you.
