The library is not wheelchair accessible. There are a few steps to the entrance hall and to the library and public toilet (also not accessible). However, there will be a designated space to park pushchairs and/or buggies if needed.

FREE drop-in event for the whole family! Come and enjoy a day full of fun medieval themed crafts and immersive activities.

Our inspiration for this year’s Fun Palaces is The Bayeux Tapestry and we’re excited to have been able to partner with Get Medieval to deliver a day full of medieval themed fun.

Join the team from Get Medieval as you learn to fight like a knight and discover the art of sword fighting. This is an exciting hands-on experience where you’ll learn authentic combat techniques, as you test your skills in one-on-one duels, all-versus-all battles and epic team clashes!

This immersive activity is suitable for aspiring warriors ages 6–600!

There will also be lots of other fun crafting activities to get involved with including but not limited to: building a Norman Fort, Badge Making and Illuminated Lettering.
