This fun palace can be accessed by foot with free parking provided by local car parks, Rock Street, St Marys, Castle Court and Thornbury Leisure centre.

Description

The Thornbury Fun Palace is back again for it’s 4th year encouraging the local community to come together to share their skills and passions.

This event will be taking place across St Mary centre,  Thornbury Leisure centre and the Pod, offering free activities led by local groups and people to celebrate the community of Thornbury.

We will have activities from Panache steel, Thornbury Radio, Thornbury Leisure centre, Thornbury Library, Balpa, KRUNCH, JIGSAW Thornbury and many more all providing free activities on the day.

What to expect

St Mary Shopping Centre:

10:00am - 2:00pm:

  1. Youth Community café run by the young volunteers at JIGSAW Thornbury - Downstairs at JIGSAW Thornbury
  2. Holistic therapies including Indian head massage and reflexology by Helena at Chessel Bay therapies - Upstairs at JIGSAW Thornbury
  3. Woodland crafts and activities with Elise at Woodland Makery - Outside JIGSAW Thornbury (10am - 12pm)
  4. Learn to make a Macramé wall hanging with Bonnie at Raybeam makes - Outside JIGSAW Thornbury (10am - 12pm)
  5. Music and presenter workshops with Thornbury Radio - Outside JIGSAW Thornbury
  6. Music and steel pan workshops with Panache - St Mary shopping Centre
  7. Free bike maintenance and checks with Dr. Bike - St Mary shopping Centre
  8. Activities and information with Travelwest - St Mary shopping Centre
  9. Fun Palaces information kiosk run by Thornbury rotary club - St Mary shopping Centre
  10. Arts and crafts with the Community learning and skills service - St Mary shopping Centre
  11. Sewing Machine workshops with All Sew Pretty - Located at Castle Crafts (Ages 8 years+)
  12. Performance from Thornbury Musical Theatre Group (Protest scene from Made in Dagenham) - (10am -12pm at St Mary Centre)
