Description

During the weekend of 2-4th October, we will share ideas and tips for creating your work via our Facebook pages @TCSBeckenham and @stjohnsorp. Our Fun Palace Harvest will be held between 10-12noon on Sunday 11th October, alongside our collection of items for the Foodbank.

During the past few months we will all have experienced feelings of Hope and Faith, and experienced acts of Love. For each of us this will have taken a different form, and we would love you to share your creative ideas with us so that we can decorate our fences here in the heart of the community. You might want to write a single word, or poem, create a collage or draw/paint a picture that reflects a person, place, image or item that helped you to get through the difficult and dark days of loneliness and isolation. It is these images and words that we want to bring together as we move forward to some form of normality. Your work can be any size or shape ( upto A3 ), and if you are able to laminate it to protect it from the elements that would be wonderful – otherwise we will do it for you. We want everybody who lives nearby, passes by on the way to the station or work, worships in or uses the halls of St. Johns to be part of this community project, so please tell your friends and neighbours about it. It would be lovely to have work from pre-schoolers, uniformed organisations, young people and the older generations – a full reflection of our community.
