Paddock Wood Fringe Fun Palace: Make a Heart, Build a "Welcome"

Are you from Paddock Wood or surrounding villages (EG Brenchley, Matfield, Horsmonden, Lamberhurst, Capel, Pembury, Five Oak Green, East Peckham)?

Join us for a joyful two-hour Fun Palace, where every visitor becomes part of something bigger. We are inviting people of all ages to make a heart, each one destined to become part of a growing community artwork installation.

Your heart can take any form you like. Paint it, draw it, stitch it, sculpt it, or write it. It might carry a poem, a memory, a single word, a recipe, or an image that means something to you. There are no rules about talent or style here — only that it comes from you. Hearts should fit within a postcard-sized space, roughly 10 to 12 centimetres at their largest point, and may be flat or gently three-dimensional, so long as they can be fixed onto a backing.

As each heart is added, the installation will grow into a collective piece that speaks of community, culture, creativity and inclusion, the values at the heart of Paddock Wood Fringe. Together, these individual pieces will spell out one simple message: welcome.

No booking is required and no experience is necessary. Come along, take some time to create, and leave your mark on a piece that belongs to everyone.
