ONLINE Quilts 4 Cancer Fun Palace
Online
We will be sharing images of chemistry research on our Facebook page to inspire folks to make quilt blocks (or entire quilts, if you feel like it!) These quilts will then be donated to adult patients who are being treated for pancreatic cancer. The hope is to give patients a comforting, quilt-y hug, whilst also raising awareness of research into, and the signs & symptoms of, pancreatic cancer amongst quilters.

Description
Clare and I (Kirsty) are based in Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde. At the start of lock down we were given funding from the Royal Society of Chemistry (thank you!) for our “Quilts for Cancer” project.

If you or your group like to have a chat with us about getting involved, please fill in our Expressions of Interest form.
[UPDATE] Deadline to request resources has passed, but we’d be more than happy to send materials out for other occasions (European Researchers’ Night, British Science Week etc). If you are shielding, lack a fabric stash, or otherwise would have trouble affording fabric to take part, please let us know and we will do our best to send out some materials in advance. This will be on a first come, first served basis. Please request materials by 5pm on Monday 28th September at the latest, so that we have time to get them to you! Request for materials
You can also share your makes via our Facebook page or join our group where we will be sharing even more images for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in November.
