Description

Join us to connect with the community through tiny activities across Leigh. There will be safe, fun activities for all ages to enjoy, so come along and get involved.

Information will be shared via our Twitter and Instagram (links here) or you can come and meet us at our Fun Palace hub at The Turnpike, Civic Square on the event weekend.

10am – 4pm: Drawing Activity.
Draw your own fun palace and display it in your window on the event weekend.
Activity sheets provided below…

10am – 4pm: Silent short film screenings with Leigh Film
Leigh Film are an independant film society and community cinema charity.
Join their volunteers for this activity and celebrate film.
Location: The Turnpike

10am – 4pm: Art installation and seed swap
Love gardening? Come and see an art installation that celebrates the garden and why not swap some seeds on your visit.
Location: St Helens Road

10am – 4pm: Book swap
Swap books & discover something new to read!
Location: Eyet Street

10am – 4pm: Alphabet Walk
Help us create an alphabet walk by decorating a letter & placing it in your window. Explore your neighbourhood & see how many letters you can find!

10am – 4pm: Mum and daughter art installation

Online art Exhibition from the pupils of Bedford High School.

12 – 4pm: Home made soup with Amy
What Time Is Love Soup?
Amy says: Bill Drummond made soup in my house. My husband joined the soup line and there is an article about it here:

I also just like making it and my mother was amazing at it; I would like to share this skill.

Peter loves to do portrait photography in his spare time and wants to share his work with his community.
