Brilliant news that we have been able to set up a Fun Palace with the support of our local Launcestones! Painted rock group.
We are all working on our own rocks at home, ready for the 3rd and 4th of October.
The Library has started collecting rocks and displaying them in the windows facing the library car park. Everyone is welcome to drop a rock in!
Some have chosen not to display, and to hide their rocks which is also fine, and lots of fun!
Early on Saturday 3rd we will take them down to the Town Square to display around the base of our War Memorial. Let’s see if we can go all the way around the base of the steps!
You can add your stone anytime on Saturday by placing it on the ground, below the chain. People can then safely walk around the memorial ( with social distancing) and view the stones.
At 3pm when the market ends on the 3rd, people can either collect their rocks to hide ,or we can do that for you.
Keep an eye out around Launceston over that weekend for hidden rocks, and please post a picture on the Launcestones! Facebook Group page.
Please post pictures of your painted rocks as well so we can see what’s being displayed or hidden! We will select one of the Facebook posts to win a prize, which has been kindly sponsored by Shelley, our local TESCO Community Champion. A winner will be notified and asked to collect from the library a week later.
Good Luck everyone! Stay safe, remember your distancing and keeping hands clean while having fun.
