Phil says: “Poetry can seem like a big word but really it’s just a way to express yourself creatively. There are no right or wrong answers here. In the session we can look at poems that rhyme and some that don’t, as well as some basic poetry forms, maybe a haiku or two. Pen and paper or a note book will be needed. Also, a blank sheet of A4 paper or card and a chunky felt tip of marker pen might be useful too! Hopefully see you there.”
Phil is a writer, poet and film maker born and raised in Carlisle. He does films for Tolivar Productions, Film Fling festivals, hosts the online ‘SpeakEasy’ spoken word open mic night and is one half of Caldew Press.
