Port Isaac is very hilly and there is absolutely no parking in the village, so park in Port Isaac main carpark just before entering the village. Leave the carpark and turn right, walking down the main road (B3267), Trewetha Lane. At the ‘V’ Junction opposite Hartland Road turn left down a steep hill (Trewetha Lane continues). At the next ‘V’ junction, at First and Last, follow the road to the right. The village hall is on the right hand side. 9 minutes walk in all.

Description

Please note this event finishes at 3pm on Saturday.

Sharing Skills to complete our grand community project. Normally we would be passing on the heritage craft of crochet. For this time only we are hosting a community ’sew along’, the culmination of a year’s worth of efforts of those who dropped in to learn to master the skill of crochet and of those who shared their crochet skills. All levels of willing crocheters and sewers welcome, from experienced crocheters to never having had your hands on a hook. We will be sewing our 300plus giant poppies onto fishing nets to dress Port Isaac for Remembrance 2024. There will also be some crochet and knitting  going on!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer any refreshment.

What to expect

Friday, 10am, help set up tables, chairs and the net.

In between sew, crochet, knit, chat and have fun!

By 3pm Saturday, clear up and put away.
