Description

Come and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the twinning of Looe & Quiberon at our French themed Fun Palace.

10am – Cornish bagpipes

10-11am – Live music from Ilow Splann

11am – Welcome from the Mayor of Looe followed by a special performance by Bards of the Cornish Gorsedh. A celebratory poem composed and performed by Mark Camp, accompanied by Dr Ken George and his wife Malou, with translations in Cornish and Breton.

11.15am – Twinning quiz (adults/families)

11.30am – French fun and conversation with Heather and Louis (Junior Library)

12-1pm – Live music from Ilow Splann

Plus enjoy free coffee and croissants, Breton themed bead craft, write a postcard to Quiberon (in French) and borrow books that are currently popular at Quiberon Library.
