How to find Corbett Community Library By Bus The 124, 160, 181 and 284 buses all stop either opposite or around the corner, a less than two minutes’ walk away. Get off at the Sandhurst Road/St Andrews Church (all buses towards Catford, 160 towards Sidcup, and 284 towards Grove Park) or Torridon Road/St Andrews Church (181 towards Lewisham and 124 towards Grove Park) bus stop. The 202 stops on Brownhill Road, a 5–10-minute walk away. Get off at the Torridon Road bus stop. Catford Bridge and Catford are both a 10-minute bus ride (catch any bus from Catford & Catford Bridge Stations away from Catford) or a 20–30-minute walk away. By Bike We have several cycle racks outside the front of the library. By Train Hither Green is a 5-minute bus ride (catch the 181 towards Grove Park) or a 15-minute walk away. Grove Park is a 10–15-minute bus ride away (catch the 124 or 284 towards Catford). By Car Please catch public transport, walk or cycle if possible as there is limited on-street parking. Some parking is available outside the library and on adjacent residential roads. Accessibility The library is fully accessible to wheelchair users. There is a wheelchair accessible gender neutral toilet. The upstairs of the library is accessed both by stairs and a wheelchair accessible platform lift. We have bright pink signage and stair edge tape to aid visually impaired users, and a large print book collection.

We kick off our month-long programme of 10th birthday celebrations, with our very first Fun Palace. Everyone is welcome at this unique, volunteer-powered, community library for a day full of friendship, silliness and surprises. We can't wait to welcome you!

What to expect

10 – 3pm Badge Making / Mis-information Desk / ‘Jackynory’ Mini Fun Fair / Drop in Children’s nature activities.

10 – 4pm Human Jukebox – select your song of choice, put in a token and your song will play! 

11.30 – 12:30pm Mono Printing and Coil Pot workshop (book your place here).

1.30 – 2.15pm Rabunzel the Musical, performed by author and musician Gareth P Jones. Advance tickets are sold out but places may become available on the day. You can also catch Gareth in the Human Jukebox from 2.30-3pm.

3pm – 4pm Our brand new Community Mosaic is unveiled by lead artist, Tamara Froud and Rosamund Kissi-Debrah CBE.

3.30pm - 5pm Film Screening of Community Mosaic Film by Ben Honeybone.

3.30-5pm Make a Mosaic Lightcatcher Workshop with Wendy Dean (@mosaicatheart). Tickets are sold out but places may become available on the day.
