Banyo Library Fun Palace

Join a weekend of creation, collaboration and celebration at your local library. Drop in to any of our free, special Fun Palaces activities held in all libraries across Brisbane. Kites, coding, drawing, robots, optical illusions and origami – it’s all happening and we can’t wait!

Barnstaple Library Fun Palace

Here at Barnstaple Library we are very excited to be hosting our first ever Fun Palace. We will be offering a range of free activities which will be open to everyone. More details to follow…

BedPop Fun Palace

For the third year running, BedPop Fun Palaces will be bringing the best of Bedford’s art, culture and science to the heart of the town centre. We’ll be collaborating with schools, community groups, businesses and organisations to bring amazing experiences, unique events and wonderful hands-on workshops to some great venues.

Beeston Library Fun Palace

Come along and take part in free and fun activities as the library becomes a Fun Palace! Have a go at a range of arts, cultural and science activities aimed at anyone of any age or ability. Every area of the library will be taken over by fun activities to inspire you – can you get around them all?

Being Me! in Castle Arcade, Cardiff

Shwmae! We’re a lottery funded project within Sense Cymru, aiming to improve the experience of transition from school to adult life for single or multi-sensory impaired young people. On Sunday 8th we’re joining forces with National Theatre Wales TEAM & taking over their shopfront in Castle Arcade where we’ll be inviting anyone and everyone to join us and have fun experimenting with sensory touch boards. Come along and experience the sensory art pieces we’ve been making & have a go at making your own tactile artworks. We’ll provide the materials & paints for you to experiment & play with. You bring your scientific curiosity & artistic imagination!

Bideford Library

We are very excited to be holding our very first Fun Palace at Bideford Library on Saturday 7th October between 10 – 12.30. We will be hosting a range of FUN and FREE events, welcoming local people of all ages to come and join us. Watch this space!

Biggar Science Festival at the Library

Biggar Science Festival activities in the Library. Have a go at coding in scratch with our Coding Club. Join published Science Fiction writer David Bishop to get some inspired to write your own Sci Fi stories. Plus photography exhibitions on Scientists at Work and Livestock Keepers. Biggar Science Festival at the Museum

Compare new Tesla electric vehicles with a “vintage” GWiz, one of the first electric cars. Find out what’s inside an ambulance. Listen to talks about What Happens to Your Blood Transfusion and how T Cells can help transplant patients. Then go inside the museum to find out about the transport and medicine as it used to be. Biggar Science Festival – Hands on Science

A day of hands on science activities for all the family, including Disease Detectives with Moredun Institute, Heriot Watt University’s Robotics display, Music and Sound, interactive photography, drones, slime making and more! No ticket required, just drop in!

Biggar Science Festival Outdoor Science Day

A range of activities and talks for all the family as part of Biggar Science Festival. These include a Birds of Prey Flying Display, talks and activities about Bees, Bugs and Butterflies, soil testing, Forest Schools activities, music from the Barrow Band and more. Most activities are free. To help you enjoy your day, the Carmichael Bistro and the Visitors Centre shop are offering a 10% discount to Science Festival attendees. Full details on the website
