Description

Join us for Fun Palace at Savick Library on Saturday 4th October with more of a family focus in mind for people to find out what is happening in their communities and take part in a range of fun activities.

Watch this space, as we get organised and we’ll bring you all the activities taking place and people involved.
Get involved
We need creative, technical, arty, scientific people to join in with us and share their skills and show how things work. If you or your local group would like to be involved please email us.

Please note
Times and activities may be subject to change on the day.
*Some activities have limited places and will be allocated on a ’first come first served’ basis. Some waiting time may be involved.

Fun Palaces is an annual weekend of free events where arts, crafts, science, tech and digital are a catalyst for community engagement and full participation for everyone, from the grassroots up, to learn something new and have fun doing it.
This year Lancashire Libraries, Museums and Archives will be holding eighteen Fun Palaces. See our website for details of them all.

What to expect

This year, we'll be bringing you:

  • Various drop-in activities from Lancashire Adult Learning from 9:30am-12pm
  • Join in a Drumming Circle with community musician Jon Aveyard from 10.30am-11.15am (all ages)
  • Mindful art with Joey Afrin from 11.30am (Adult drop in)
  • A visit from Dig In Preston
  • children's activities with our Culture Hack.
