Celebrate the vision of Joan Littlewood and Cedric Price that there is genius in everyone. A Fun Palace is an ’anything goes’ space constructed in a day by all who come. It is unpredicatble and joyous. It happens once a year.

To give a taste, last year we had a Chinese tea ceremony; explored the emotional life of snails; a Co-operative Poetry Competition; playing with computerised tactile sound threads; folk music; Mandarin poetry; ’Cedric Price and anarchist architecture’ a lecture; discussing maths and music; Shakespeare sonnets; dancing Strip the Willow; chess; spirographs; looking through the Vera Rubin telescope…

In previous Fun Palaces we built time machines, built geodesic domes, watched robots roam, listened to Iraqi love songs, sculpted in virtual reality and explored the origins of the universe. We have celebrated the art and science of the Russian Revolution, engaged in long conversations, and let our spirits soar.

This year, we invite everyone to join once more. Whether you bring an experiment, a poem, a biscuit, or just yourself, come and celebrate the culture within and help build another unforgettable Fun Palace.
