Caz Perry, a teacher from Sheffield, organises a collective yodel at 10am on a Monday morning. She invites friends, family, neighbours and anybody else who wants to join in to stand on their doorstep, hang out their window, go out in to their garden, a green space or anywhere outdoors, and wildly yell, yodel, holler, shriek and shout as loud and joyously as they can! Caz says:
I just wanted to share some joy and fun across our community. It feels good to throw your voice out to the world, especially in this weather and with spring so beautiful everywhere. Also it exercises your lungs really well! I hope it lifts people’s spirits and makes them feel less alone in their homes.
Let us know if you give it a go – and send us your own community yodelling videos or audio.
