Get hands-on at our Fun Palace… The annual, free, nationwide celebration of arts and sciences returns to Auchinleck. This year we will celebrate the gifts of Autumn from The Knowe Garden Centre. Activities will include pumpkin carving, leaf crafts and yummy treats.

Join us as part of Bodmin town’s Fun Palaces for plenty of outdoor fun on the wonderful Bodmin Beacon grounds! There’ll be campfire & cooking opportunities…. Autumn foraging & plant ID nature walks…. scavenger hunts…. introduction to basic fire lighting…. natural art…. stories, games & more!
Dave Sawyer local sculptor and musician will engage the community in playing home made bamboo musical instruments that can easily be learnt by most ages. This is our very first Fun Palace and we’ve lots of ideas for a friendly, fun and creative Saturday. Watch this space as our plans unfold and our community comes together to build our Fun Palace.
Come and enjoy an inspiring day of creative play, exploring how the patterns in our daily lives effect the way we experience the world. Activities led by researchers from the University of Bristol include: a virtual escape video game; photo collage workshop and a mini skills swap where you can try enameling, baking, embroidery and more…all this and a free lunch of locally-homemade samosas and sweet treats. A day for anyone who is curious, good for children and adults alike.
