Crediton Library is providing the space and co-ordination, and welcoming the community to the first Crediton Fun Palace. There will be an exciting variety of arts and science cultural activities on the Friday and Saturday of the Fun Palaces Weekend. We hope there’ll be something new for anyone that steps through the door. Fun Palaces are made by local people for their own communities, bringing together arts and sciences, crafts, tech and digital, free and fun, linked by the Fun Palace network – Everyone an Artist, Everyone a Scientist.
Smoothie Bike Friday 5th October 9.30am – 5.30pm
A Smoothie bike is a stationary bike that is fitted with a special blender that spins as you pedal. Just sit on the bike and pedal away to power the blender and create a delicious smoothie. The Smoothie bike has been kindly provided by Devon Norse and the fruit by Crediton Tesco.

Drop in to learn how to fingerspell your name and how to say hello. Stay for longer to learn how to fingerspell the alphabet and sign some simple words and phrases.
Children’s French songs, games and a story

Come and join in for a chance to learn some French with lots of songs, games and a story. You don't need to speak the language already, just come along and have some fun. This session is hosted by Lingotot who teach French and Spanish to children aged 0 – 11 in the community, schools and nurseries.
Adult Clay Workshop

Learn about all the different techniques used in claywork: plaiting, pinching, extruding, sculpting, modelling and more. Everything is provided. Just turn up, learn some modelling and have fun!
3 Parks Walk
3 Parks walk Friday 5th October 1.30pm - 2.30pm
This is a guided walk of three Crediton parks - Newcombes Meadow, People’s Park and St Lawrence's Green with Redvers Ramble guide Heather Sansom. This walk is level, apart from one gentle incline, and is accessible for families with pushchairs. Meet at Crediton Library.
Camera Know How Friday 5th October 2.30pm – 3.30pm
Talented photographer Paul McLoughlin will be holding a camera clinic to help you get the most out of your camera. Bring along your camera and Paul will help you with any baffling settings or queries that you have.
Children\'s Writing Workshop

Local Author and Illustrator Amy Winfield will be inspiring children to think creatively, make a plan and write and illustrate their short stories.

Learn to Knit
Learn to Knit Saturday 6th October 09.30am – 12.30pm
Drop in anytime during the morning and have fun learning to knit with Sarah Johnson. She runs a weekly knitting group called ‘Knitwits’ at the library and wishes to introduce people to the joy of knitting. Knitting needles and wool will be provided. However if you have already have a project you want to work on you are welcome to bring along your own.

Guided Redvers Ramble – Enjoy exploring Crediton’s footpaths and views with Redvers Ramble guide Heather Sansom pointing out places of interest and historical significance. Meet at Crediton Library.
